http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/1/1133242/church1.JPGhttp://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/1/1133242/church2.JPG http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/1/1133242/church3.JPGhttp://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/1/1133242/church4.JPGhttp://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/1/1133242/church5.JPG Three pictures of our church Trinity United decorated for Christmas and two pictures of a Mitten Tree.The church has been at this site since 1835.We sang a couple of Christmas Carols,"Away In A Manger" and "Hark the Herald Angels Sing".The youth choir sang a song and put on a little play.We had to bring in canned goods and mitts to put on the tree.The Reverend told a story about a Mitten Tree.It was about kids who got all kinds of gifts for Christmas, then used them outside and were dressed warmly.Other kids in the town weren't as fortunate and couldn't stay outside long as they would get cold.The fortunate kids had an idea to get a tree and put hat and mitts on it,so the other kids went and got them and were warm.These kids saw the other ones weren't wearing them so the knew who had done it.After the story,the kids in the church put mitts and hats on the tree and then everyone else did.The Reverend that we could could take any of the hats and Mitts to kids who really needed them.The Pointsettias were placed in the Church in Memory of loved ones who had passed on,hrere one from us ,one from my Uncle for Dad.The Church was not well lit so I apologize for the pictures being a little dark,I tried fixing them as best I could.These pictures stretch across the page so you have to scroll over to see them all.

That church is incredibly beautiful, Barry. What a warm feeling it gives. I know it is pretty anytime of the year but Christmas decorations have really kicked in it's charm and personality. I love the mitten tree. It's lovely. thanks for sharing. I'm glad you and your Mom have such a wonderful place to worship. :)

Barry, that is an exceptionally beautiful church - truly awesome. You are privileged to be able to worship there. Thanks for sharing these pictures.
