For my first time ever doing studio shots, I think they turned out pretty good, but I'm not completely satisfied so I may try again if I have time. I took pictures for over 3 hours. I am so lucky to have such well behaved doggies who are patient with me ... so long as I have treats :D

Nova is so patient http://lab-retriever.net/board/images/smilies/biggrinangelA.gif

Santa Nova

Mandy is the opposite, she stays like this for about .2 seconds and then she's off! She does not like having stuff on her head!

Those are great! When it comes to posed shots, I love the studio look with the solid color background, and white looks great!

Great pics Sarah. Buck is too funny, he is such a big lug. The group shot he has his tongue out and the girls are all posed so pretty. :)

Those are awesome. I can't believe how patient your doggies are!

I love Mandy's face, she wasn't obviously thrilled about having that thing on her head :D

Wow!! They are great shots. I love the one of them all together. I see you live in Florida too, maybe you can come make my dogs be cooperative and patient for a photo shot :D Your pics are always so good, and you have wonderfully poised subjects to work with.

Those are so amazingly cute! What good dogs you have. If I were you, I would make Christmas cards out of them. Where did you go to shoot them? I love the group shot, as well. What a nice family photo.

Those pictures are absolutely ADORABLE! Not to mention... amazingly impressive quality. ;D

All of your Labbies should be models - and so should Mandy, even though she doesn't like it. Her expression is priceless! teehee

AWESOME pictures, Sarah! How in the world did Nova stay with the Christmas ball in her mouth? That's too funny! Reminded me of Uncle Fester from the Munsters (he had a lightbulb in his mouth) Your pupsters are terrific!

THANK YOU so much everyone!! I appreciate all the kind words more than you know!! :)

AWESOME Sarah! How ever did you get the background to be almost invisible?!
Thanks Anna! I just used a white backdrop and a flash set on the highest setting (if I remember correctly), then blew it out a bit more in photoshop.

WOW those are SO good.
They turned out really really well.
They look like they should be on christmas cards.
Where did you take those pictures?
Thanks Alicia :) I set up the backdrop in two rooms in my house... we don't really have a big enough room to set it up in because our house is so broken up.

WOW Amazing!! Do you have your own studio now???
Ha! I wish ;) Then I wouldn't have to set up and take down the darn backdrop every time I want to take studio shots.

Where in Florida are you?? Aren't you down near Kay? I live in N Central Florida ... actually very close to Georgia. I feel sooo far away from all the Florida peeps.

Thanks, Val :) I'm planning on making cards out of them this week. I took them in our dining room and my mom's office ... the backdrop was strattled between the two rooms :o

Love the pictures!! :D Look very professional, how you take them?? -white background-
Thanks! Yep just a white background and off-camera flash bounced off the ceiling.

haha! She is just such a good dog. I've tried to teach Buck but he seems so confused ... he really does not understand what I want. He'll do it if it involves a bird though! Luka and Mandy ... you can forget about it! haha!

The resolution on these are absolutely professional quality. What type of camera do you have? I take it the *off camera flash bounced off the ceiling* is your secret for not having any reflection in the eyes. The dogs did a great job too.
