I can't tell you how much I love(and agree) this song:

PINK LYRICS

"Dear Mr. President"
(feat. Indigo Girls)

Dear Mr. President,
Come take a walk with me.
Let's pretend we're just two people and
You're not better than me.
I'd like to ask you some questions if we can speak honestly.

What do you feel when you see all the homeless on the street?
Who do you pray for at night before you go to sleep?
What do you feel when you look in the mirror?
Are you proud?

How do you sleep while the rest of us cry?
How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye?
How do you walk with your head held high?
Can you even look me in the eye
And tell me why?

Dear Mr. President,
Were you a lonely boy?
Are you a lonely boy?
Are you a lonely boy?
How can you say
No child is left behind?
We're not dumb and we're not blind.
They're all sitting in your cells
While you pave the road to hell.

What kind of father would take his own daughter's rights away?
And what kind of father might hate his own daughter if she were gay?
I can only imagine what the first lady has to say
You've come a long way from whiskey and cocaine.

How do you sleep while the rest of us cry?
How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye?
How do you walk with your head held high?
Can you even look me in the eye?

Let me tell you 'bout hard work
Minimum wage with a baby on the way
Let me tell you 'bout hard work
Rebuilding your house after the bombs took them away
Let me tell you 'bout hard work
Building a bed out of a cardboard box
Let me tell you 'bout hard work
Hard work
Hard work
You don't know nothing 'bout hard work
Hard work
Hard work
Oh

How do you sleep at night?
How do you walk with your head held high?
Dear Mr. President,
You'd never take a walk with me.
Would you?

I think it's great. It's a shame he'll probably never hear it, though.

Dear Mr. President,
I heard your comments on the radio today about Iran.
The word "nuclear" is NOT pronounced noo-kyoo-lar.
You are the leader of the free world and this reflects badly on us. Please get it right.

Quite a bunch aren't they. I think I've decided already but, I wish they
would stop all the mud-slinging amongst themselves. :D

Me too! I want to hear what they plan on doing about things like the boarders, and taxes and stuff that matter. I have been known in the past to not vote for someone just because of all the negative stuff they say about others running. I guess I just want someone with integrity. That's a word most politicians don't seem familiar with these days! :(

So much negativity from all you USA members! Just think about the fact that you have the right to complain about and criticize the government/President that you elected with your own personal votes. Many places in the world ( including my present location) do not have this luxury. Count your blessings guys and have a happy holiday season! :p :)

Just think about the fact that you have the right to complain about and criticize the government/President that you elected with your own personal votes. That's the thing, though. Most of us didn't. Most of the people who did vote voted for somebody else, and other folks deemed likely to do so were chased away from the polls. And it's not the folks who didn't even try to vote who are paying attention. We want our country, our Constitution, our pride back, and it's going to take a long, long time to rebuild.

Love, Columbine

I do cherish our rights. But....I am baffled by the frequent suggestion that because we are so fortunate as to have the right it is a reason not to exercise that right!

I say...keep the politicans honest...complain early and complain often.... ;) ;)

I was by no means suggesting that you should not exercise your rights of free speech etc... sorry if I came across that way! Just asking that you and I count our blessings along with our complaints!

Lots of love,

Lilith

AWESOME!!! Someone should send George Dubya a copy, tie him in a chair and force him to listen to it.
