I'm still trying to fix the other computer. I think I have it up and running halfway decently, but every time I shut down and reboot, the computer keeps telling me that several programs and emails want to access the internet. It tells me that the computer and MacAfee don't recognize the programs trying to access the internet.

I know there is a way to get to a menu that shows everything that starts to run when a computer is booted up. I got there last time my computer was virus infected, and I turned off a lot of things that were supposed to start whenever the computer was booted up. Only problem is I have no idea how I got to that menu! I'm fairly sure a PTer showed it to me but I can't find that thread either.

Go to start/run/ type in MSCONFIG then go to the start up tab and deselect any programs that you don't want or need at start up.
