Someone earlier this week mentioned starting a thread on all the cat stuff we all have laying around our house. Had the camera in hand this morning so I took this picture and thought I'd start the thread with it.

Found this at a craft fair.

I"m not able to take a pic but I have a plaque in my entryway that says "A Cat is So Nice to Come Home To"

My cat's knick knacks are everywhere too.. scratching posts, foil balls, mice, etc etc... :D :D :D

I don't have alot but here's my favorite shelf at home. I also have a magnet that says:
Home iswhere the cat hair sticks to everything except the cat!
and a dish that says:
Everything tastes better with cat hair! ;)

How true, Tubby and Peanut's Mom and Kitten645! I was working from home yesterday and my two were so peaceful in the afternoon, full bellies from a lunchtime snack, curled in their special cat bed (with the heat pad turned on) and I thought, gosh they're so spoilt ... but who cares!!!

I have a small cross-stitch design in a frame that says "A home without a cat is just a house" and it has a black cat and a gray cat under the words. It was the first cross-stitch I did when I first got married. The cats actually matched the cats living at my in-laws house at the time.(a black and a gray tiger)

Well I could really bore everyone with this topic. I am afraid I have gone way overboard here since I have LOTS of cat stuff that I have either bought myself over the years or have been given as gifts. This is a counted cross stitch picture of an orange cat that I did but I modified the face a little by making the markings closer to Trevor's markings. :)

This sign was given to me by my daugher and hangs over the basement door (which leads to the kitties' "restroom" and "dining room." :D

If Dadcat ever frees up the camera (it's recording a restoration right now, and I'd hate to have him freeze a piston if he found cat pics in the middle of a roll of car pics LOL) I'll post some of mine - I do have too much cat stuff. Oh, that's right, you can't have too much cat stuff!!

I love your magnet - hehehe - I'll have to look for some to thrill him when he goes to the fridge some time [wicked chuckle] :D
He gets really hissy about Grasshopper's fur being everywhere, except on her!!!:D
Forgot to mention - I have started collecting little cat sculpture salt and pepper shakers - only really nice, unusual ones.

My whole bedroom has a cat theme. As some of you know I bought a cat quilt with two shams, 2 cat body pillows, and 2 cat embroidered pillows. I also have a collection of cat plates, a few cat figures, cat pictures, and a cat cross stitch that has a picture of a cat in a basket and it says "Love Me Love My Cat." One of my cat pictures has an orange kitten looking into a mirror and there's a lion in the mirror looking back at him. The caption is "What matters most is how you see yourself." I'll try to take some pictures of some of these tomorrow.

I have just started to collect cat-figurines . I have 2 now .........
I know , is so little yet , but hey , this is only the beginning !!!
So far I have a small wooden cat (a present from a friend) and an orange "soap" cat !
I know someone who collests small owls ; she has them all in a special wall-cabinet !
I am also crazy about cat-calendars !! There is one in every place of the house , and even our birthday-calendar is decorated with kittens !!! Puuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrfect !!!!!!!!!!!

Oh I just love this thread. Now I don't feel like a "crazy cat lady" any more! LOL! Here are a couple more pictures of cat objects around the house. The orange kitty in the middle wasn't always orange. He was just a plain old terracotta kitty and I painted him orange to match my Trevor! I am hopeless! :rolleyes:

The wooden kitty in the middle here came from Pier One, and I picked up the two salt-glazed cats from an antique store.

I also have two cat pillows, a cat blanket/throw and several cat stuffed animals. Many of these things were gifts because my friends/family know I am a little kooky!

I have very few cat related decoration at home... my boyfriend would desert me otherwise! :D ;) But I have a lovely oil canvas a friend gave me as a birhday present this year, and a nice Warhol´s calendar with a cat theme, of course! And, well, lots of my two furkids pics on the fridge - that makes my house feel a bit more "home" (it´s a rented flat!)

And... I must confess.. I´m an avid reader, and now read a lot of cat stuff... all my friends are having a laugh at me as I´ve always been reading (I still do! ;) ) serious stuff like Conrad, Dovstoievsky, Shakespeare, Quevedo, Lorca, Cervantes (these are Spanish writers!) - so I have to select very carefully the cat authors ;) :o ... Doris Lessing, T.S. Eliot, Patricia Highsmith, etc etc, wrote great things about cats and let me mantain my good literary reputation among my friends!! :D :D
