Update on Iris [Archive]

She's still hanging in there. She doesn't move a lot, and the tumor has grown quite considerably. In the last week it has gone from a cherry tomato to a golf ball size. You can now see it, which has only been true for the last two days. Suspicious lumps on front shoulder (smaller) are also growing at the same rate. She is still managing to eat and drink, however. It does seem that it's dreaded lymphoma.

The vet must have known that any surgery would be like pouring gas on a fire...the cancer could just roar through her.

It sounds like it is anyway. :(

Does she have pain meds? Prednisone?

Please kiss her sweet head for me.

Poor Iris. Was she the kitty that you took in, I think it was this summer??

Poor baby! I have already said a prayer for her. It is just so unfair that this happens just when she found her forever home but maybe that is why she came to you, to know that special love. ((((HUGS)))) to her and to you.

I feel so bad about this but yet Iris is just where she's supposed to be, w/someone who loves her and will give her the best vet care and will keep her as comfortable as possible through this ordeal. Special prayers being sent out for you and sweet Iris.....
