Yes, I'm getting it cut again and I want it shorter.
Let me know which ones you like best.

This is me 2 months ago... UGH!:

Carm, I think #1 and #4 would suit you best. Depends if you want something you have to work with a lot. I think you will have to style #1 for it to look good all the time whereas #4 can be a wash, mousse & go type of style. I think it would be less hassle. So depends on what you want.

I personally prefer #4. :)

They all look pretty similar. I think with that cut, you could wear it tousled or add more product. Personally, I like #6. Don't like #2 at all.

Carm, I like all these cuts- but with your curly hair it will be difficult to maintain all these straight looks.
I know better than most here what it is to live with hair with which you'll never have the haircut you'd really like but I think your hair is lovely and I am sure there would be a cut that takes advantage of your pretty curls.

I thought what barbara said but you also could bring these dream pictures to local professional hairstyler and ask her/him what s/he thinks would be/looks/is best for you.

if you must pick one, I think number four would look unique and different on you. I really like your original one but I understand you want a make over! I have a quite wavy hair and never got the style I wished for. boo.

anyway, have you tried those links sirrahbed (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=133178) posted a while ago; makover (http://makeover.ivillage.com/makeover/index.jsp) & makeover solution (http://www.makeoversolutions.com/)?

it might help and good luck! :)

Thanks for all the comments guys!

I had a cut about 5-6 years ago that was very similar to #1, 4, 6 and 7 and it did look decent on me (at least that's what people told me). It worked ok with the curly hair. I just had to tell the hairdresser to do a bit longer version (to take into consideration the curls that made the look even shorter).

I wish I could find a picture of me with that short cut so I could ask for honest opinions. If I find one, I'll post it.

OK, I found one from almost 4 years ago. Beenie is in it so it can't be over 4 years old.

I still want to go a little shorter than this.

I chose 2 and 6. With #2 you could play up your eyes a little more
and it would look wow. after seeing the last picture, I think this style
looks good for you too.

I picked #3 because I thought it was an adorable cut! But you might have to straighten your hair to look like the pic if it's naturally curly.

I envy people who can keep up their cuts and styles. I'm so lazy it's always long and blah. :p

Can't wait to see what you decided and how your cut turns out!

I chose
#1
#3
#10

I also agree if you have naturally curly hair, it may not look as what you want it to be. Get them to straighten it and if you own a straightener it would be good.

I chose #4,#6, and #9. I also have naturally curly hair but mine is very fine and thin so I had it cut shorter and layered all over. Now I just have to put some hair products in it to help prevent frizziness and to help define my curls. I also prefer to let it dry naturally. Good luck.:)

looking at your texture hair I don't think any of these cuts work well with it. But of course the shorter the hair the easier it would be to do and the shorter the hair the less chance of curling. Looking at my hair now its hard to believe it was ever able to do some of the short styles. I like the blond spiky one and number 7 I think they work with your style of hair.

If your hair is naturally curly, wouldn't ALL those styles be really high maintenance?

The cut I like is number 3.

Pembroke_Corgi: I've had mine long for so long. It was always in a pony tail because it was either too hot or it would get in my face all the time. It's time for a change.

krazyaboutkatz: Yeah, that is what I used to do too when it was very short. Just wash, put a little product in and let air dry while I dressed. Before leaving the house, I'd straighten the bangs and front a bit with the dryer and/or iron.

shais_mom: It is thick hair and has always been difficult to manage (especially when long).

jackie: I think I can pull it off or at least I really want to try.

I guess the votes so far have # 1, 3, 4 and 6 at the top. I will choose from those. As much as I love 2 and 3, they will be difficult to maintain because they are so straight. At least the others have a bit of wave in them.

:) Oh boy, I am getting ansy. My appointment is Saturday the 3rd. I will post a picture when I get back home. :)

Carmen, if you're willing to try any of them, I think you'll do great with whatever you go with. I chose 1, 4, and 6. Four is Victoria Beckham. right? I have a friend that finally found someone to do that cut for her here(small town USA :) ). She looks so adorable it's unbelievable. She had blond, long, straight hair to begin with and she's real tall. It's a very sophisticated cut but also alot of fun.

You'll look cute in whatever you go with. Can't wait to see the "after" picture!! :)

I like most of the pictures you posted, but if you want the shorter look go for one, especially if you get the highlights put in, whatever you choose will be great i am sure, looking forward to seeing the updated pics, good luck. :)

Since you said that your hair is very thick and difficult to manage then maybe you could ask the person who's cutting your hair to thin it out some first so then it'll be more manageable after your haircut. I'm sure your new haircut will turn out great and I can't wait to see it. Good luck.:)
