I went to a wedding last weekend and shot some fall pics outside the catering hall. I FINALLY got around to looking at the photos I took and am a bit spooked by one shot.... hubby swears I caught something unearthly in pixel form

Here's the full photo in question:

See the purple blotch at the bottom? Closer look:

It helped us to see the blotch in various states of zoom, so I'm showing it to you all that way as well.
Closer still:

Full size of just the section in question:

I didn't do any editing to this photo, its as it came off my camera.

Doesn't it look like something running across the bottom of the frame?

Before you mention it as being parts of a sunbeam, none of the others from the same series showed up like this. I took about 10 pictures of the woods within a minute's time and this is the only one with a purple blotch.

I really can't see anything but some purple. It must be some light reflection from somewhere. I did find a fun website, though.
www.yourghoststories.com I'll have to spend some more time there when it's not bedtime.

Looks like a lens flare to me. It happens quite often when shooting towards the sun. It can show in one photo and not in another.

Sun glare or ghost, either way... very neat. :) I believe in spirits, btw. :)

I would much rather go with a purple ghost. That is far more interesting than just a sunbeam in the one photo.:D

Who do you think it is?

Dont be freaked out spirits are everywhere, and dead is better than alive trust me :P Anyways they come in all shapes, sizes and color?

Cool shot.

Lens or spirit looks pretty cool,

It looks like a pumpkin headed devil.

I highlighted the area's of the photo & changed (Hope you don't mind catnapper) the colour.

I finally can upload photos (been having online issues) because there is something else I forgot to mention (oops) that makes this particular photo seem all the more spooky..... Cam was running around in front of those trees like a monster. A few minutes earlier, I snapped this shot:

Was it chasing Cam or running from him? ;) :p
