I believe a "gun dog" implies a dog who is used for hunting...like a lab, golden retriever, pointer, etc.

Hello! Thanks everyone! No, sorry, we didn't bring the pup!:( Oh, we had a great time! All 14 grandchildren (including me!) did a talent show! 2 of the oldest girls did impressions of everyone, that was hilarious!:D We had tons of fun!:) ;)
