Michelle Jameus of Let Live Canada has been running across Canada since April 15, 2007 to increase awareness and support from all Canadians to convert Canada to a No-Kill country.

Lets Pray That Michelle Can Get Her Message Through, But There Are So Many Unwanted Pets.
I Think That Nursing Homes And Hopsital Should Adopt Some As They Would Cheer Up The Patients Quite A Bit.
The Pet Angels Have Send Some Fast Pets To Run With Michelle.

That is absolutely fantastic, Candace. Has there been a lot of publicity and support for Michelle and her mission so far? Is there much of a movement to make Canada a no-kill COUNTRY yet? Fabulous.

I heard about this soon after she began, from the web site of the Jazzpurr Society for Animal Protection in Windsor (http://www.jazzpurr.org/). Dorit Girash, the founder of Jazzpurr, is involved with Let Live Canada.

If you go down the long first page of the Let Live Canada web site (http://home.cogeco.ca/~llc/), there is a listing of all the communities she visits on her route through each province, all the way to Vancouver. After she has visited one, the name is crossed off. Each town up to Strathmore, Alberta is crossed off, so I guess she hasn't had a chance to cross off Calgary yet. Did you get to meet her there, Candace?

I'm sorry she didn't make it down to Windsor (though it would have been quite a ways out of her direct path). Maybe i could have come over and run with her for a couple of miles, too!

As it is, thank you for reminding me of the journey, Candace, as I'm about to make another donation to Let Live Canada in Michelle's honor.

Would that I live to see a day that such a country-wide movement takes hold in the good ol' U.S. of A. (I'm afraid that will be the same day that pigs take flight and the sun rises in the west, sigh...)
