My grandfather is dying...

The doctors say he doesn't have much time left...My mom left last night to be with him. He has lung cancer. He fell and broke his leg the other day too, and they said they can't really fix it because it might kill him, and if they leave it he won't walk or move well. My mom is pretty upset, so please send good thoughts her way. I know she'd appreciate it. :(

I don't know him very well. I met him a few times. I'm sad, but my mom is really upset. I hate seeing her sad. They said he's not doing so good. They kinda think he's waiting to see all his family before he let's go....He is in a lot of pain though...

Audrey, I am so sorry about your grandfather's illness. And I'm sorry that you don't "know" him as you should. :( I would give anything for a little more time with both of mine. One (my mother's dad) died when I was 5 years old. I remember him, but not well. My father's dad was more a part of my life and was so special to me.

Yeah I would have liked to get to know him better. 2 of my other grandparents died before I was born, and my grandmother was sick when I was old enough to remember things but I was close with her. You all are so kind to take the time to wish us well. I will pass this along to my mom when she is home. I know she'll appreciate it.
