Timbaland? Jon Bon Jovi? Paul McCartney???

Some very grouchy old bag made that webpage, me-thinks. :p I can think of far worse lyricists than Sting!

I disagree with some of the names on this list! Someone got up on the wrong side of the dictionary this morning.

LOL! Ok, I love Blender. I got that magazine for years. Actually, they sent it to me for about 3 years and I never had ordered it to begin with. I had been looking for a music magazine for school, and asked for a sample copy. So much for samples, lol.

Love their Wackiest Cover Songs on the Web. Cake doing "I will Survive" is brilliant. And Alanis' parody of "My humps" is way too funny.

Just because a song is a huge hit doesn't mean it has well-crafted lyrics! :D

I just loved reading some of the reviews....OWWWWW!!! :)

lolololol,

First of all, listen to 95% of any of the songs played today.

Crap and more crap.

If you throw in a "ho, bitach, eff or ???????"

It's a hit!

-----------------

Of course,
A Horse with No Name, My Ding A Ling, One Toke Over the Line or any 70's/80's song didn't make a lot of sense-but they were music!

They were written and performed by the people who thought about them!

The one "song" that I found to be so offensive was the 'rap' take on the Police song "Every Breath You Take".

Get a grip and do your own work instead of sampling and stealing the sweat and work of other songwriters.

Thanks for posting the link, Candace, and also the one for the worst songs. I enjoyed looking them both over. I didn't always agree with their choices, but it sure was fun to read.

The thing that really stood out for me was: how many of the songs and lyricists I had never heard of! Boy, does that date me!
