You can have her.

She just crapped ALLLL over her crate. Diarrhea. And peed too. Didn't even try to wake me up.

Had to bath her.

Had to clean the crate.

Had to clean the bathroom because I had to lock her in there to clean the crate.

The blanket that I love that was in the crate is basically garbage now.

My room and half the basement stinks like crap.

What time is it? 4:42am. Took me an hour to clean up.

Any takers???????

Oh I'm sorry but I do understand. When Angus was a puppy he was very sick and I had to do a lot of cleaning up at all hours of the night:o

It will get better and you know you really don't want us to come steal that cutie pie;)

Here's hoping that Jersey gets over this soon.

Poor Jessica and Poor Jersey. :(

I can't tell you how many times I've woken up for school and found fosters like that! Totally completely sucks!

Apparently one of the rescue director's own dogs has Campylobacter. Which is a bacteria infection in the intestines caused by raw meat and it causes diarrhea.

I guess the puppy will be going in for a poop test today!

Sorry she did that but I would certainly not put my favorite blanket in with a puppy.

Oh poor pup. I hope Jersey feel's better real soon. Good luck.

P.S. Sounds like you need a scented candle to get rid of the stink. :)

Awwwwww, honey ... can she take something for diarrhea? I hope the antibiotics kick in really fast for her.

Lean ground beef and rice until the meds kick in is all that will help.

bckrazy, apparently Campylobacter is not uncommon, especially in puppies. Everyone has them in their bodies, but it's only when the body is under a lot of stress that it overrides and you get the infection.

I'm sorry she's sick. I hope she gets to feeling better! I don't miss those days at all though - Nova and Mandy used to have stomach problems (switching to raw actually cured them though) and I'd wake up to diarrhea in crates (this was back when they weren't trusted at night) about once every two weeks. It was awful!

BC MoM, how is Jersey doing? Are the medications helping?

Jersey is doing lots better. Her poop is starting to be normal, but she does have the odd runny stool still. She still is very sneezy and coughs often enough that I think we may need some more meds after this batch is gone.

Thanks for asking though! Being a little ill doesn't keep this little girl down one bit!
