I'm in the process of trying to find a good food that Corkscrew will eat so hopefully we can continue to wean him off the force feedings. He's down to two force feeding sessions a day but he still needs to eat much more on his own before I can start getting rid of those.

I went to a feed store down the street and explained my situation and they were beyond helpful. They helped me pick out several different brand of canned food to try with him then they gave me several samples of dry foods so that I wouldn't have to waste money on an entire bag. Not only did they send me home with 5 different dry foods to try out they also gave me three different frozen raw meals to try! So now hopefully we can figure out which food will really get him eating. They might be a little more expensive than petsmart but their products are higher quality and it's worth it to pay extra for such amazing and great service. They made a long time customer out of me today!

Lets keep our fingers crossed that one of these new foods is a winner!

That is WONDERFUL! And you really feel better about Corkscrew's chances when other people care so much!

Glad he is eating! Keep going, sweetheart! :)

So far he has not touched the Innova Evo canned food that I left for him, however he does seem to like the Innova dry food and he's actually eaten a decent amount of the kibble. We'll try a different canned food tomorrow and see what he thinks.

The store sounds like a winner to me.:) I hope that he'll like something and will eat more on his own. Good luck.:)

I feed all of my cats Innova Evo dry and wet and some of them don't really care for the wet as much either. With Storm I mix in some other grain free wet food and he loves it. Sunny won't eat the dry food by itself so I have to mix in the wet with it. They sure can be difficult at times.
