Last night, I went up in my room to feed my frogs and Misty is gaint. She looks like she ate a balloon. The only thing I could think of is she is pregnant. There is Rocky (a male) in the tank with her. Any help is really greatful. Is my frog pregnant? Pictures will be up soon! Thank you so much for reading this!

Alright, are these african dwarf frogs?
I'm most certainly not an expert, but I've heard alot of people say that they can't truely tell when a frog is about to lay eggs. Sometimes they might look a bit bloated, but not excessively so.
Keep an eye on her, when I first read your post, bloat was the first thing that came to mind.
I found this (http://clawedfrogs.tripod.com/id33.html) website(2nd paragraph) that gives a better description of an ADF with bloat, it has a link to another article on it, also. Does it sound like Misty?

Good luck. :)

Hi Kittygurl, what kind is she? I use to have an albino frog (not a dwarf one) and I don't know if it was a girl or a boy, but I called him a boy. When ever I fed him his stomach grew about 2-3 times the normal size it actually was :D could that be happening???

Okay, here's an update. On Friday, I was watching Misty and Rocky swim around. And right then and there, Misty floated down and never came back up. She died around 9 PM Friday night....

RIP Misty. We will miss u

I'm sorry to hear about your frog, and that i didn't see this earlier -- sounds like Bloat /Dropsy -- i lost one of my frogs to it a few years back. Its the same thing that can make your fish look like pinecones (so bloated the scales stick out).

I'm sorry its too late, but just in case it starts to happen to your other little guy, heres a couple links that might help for treatment --
