Please Crosspost to Cat Rescue Groups - I don't belong to any?

About a year ago, a lady who lives next door to my ex husband was ordered to move out of her house. She is a cat hoarder and had more than a hundred cats at her home. The shelter came in and trapped the cats, euthanized them. One was left behind. ?

This is a deaf, white cat - I am not even sure if it is a male or female. But it's a nice cat and will come when you coax it. My ex husband lives next door to where the hoarder lived, and has fed the cat ever since it was left behind. His father is in the hospital here in MD and is dying. It's a very sad sitaution. Ex was just going to stay for a few days, so he left food and water out for the cat, but only enough for a few days. His father is in very bad shape and is not going to live. So my ex is staying here until he passes. But the cat needs help and needs help now,?and needs food. The cat has been without food for a week. I just found this out.?

Is there anyone at all who can please go feed this cat? If a rescue can even take the cat and find it a good home, that would be even better. This cat is living outside. This is a rural area and there are a lot of coyotes. I don't want to call the pound there, the cat would never make it out alive and I am pretty sure they use gas.?

If anyone is able to help, please contact me offlist and I will give you the information. I will be glad to paypal money for food.

Thanks so much,

Lynn

I wish I lived closer. My Creamsicle is deaf and the thought of her being outside terrifies me. This cat needs more than food; it needs an indoor home. So sad. If you make a point of telling people that she's deaf, it may be easier to find someone who takes in special needs cats. When I was rescuing, that's the only type of cat that I would consider. Try to find her a home instead of someone to feed her. Good luck. We're praying for you and the sweetie kitty.

There Are So Many Great Cat People In Tennessee, I Hope That Ones Close Enough To Rescue This Poor Dear Cat.
I Just Wish The Pet Angels Could Bring That Poor Creature Of God To My Front Porch, Then She Would Never Be Hungry Or Lonesome Any More.

I emailed her a link to a list of rescues in TN, as I don't know exactly where she is.

Hope that baby gets a home soon!

I just sent an e-mail to the address listed above. Don't know that I could get there to pick it up, but if someone could get the kitty to me, I would care for it and try to find a good home for it! I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Sounds great. Thanks!! Somebody else in TN is working on it, too, so, hopefully, this baby will get in one way or another.

I'm with you, catmandu--if this baby showed up here, I guess there'd have to be another Special Critter!! :)

I'm hoping and purraying that some help (be it Kim, or anyone else in TN with a big heart) helps this cat before it's too late. Hope to hear an update that he/ she is saved. ;)

Thank you for trying Kim...don't give up yet! Oddly enough the website is in Maryland! It's: Secluded Hearts Rescue, Chewsville, MD.
Fax: (240) 668-9440
Directors email is: [email protected], and the webmaster's email is: [email protected]
Any of those sound familiar Kim? I can't stand wondering what happened to animals posted as urgent, and then you never hear updates as to whether they were rescued or not.
If I do hear anything I'll post ASAP.
EDIT: Here's the second post from the Yahoo Digest that has another contact in the header. Thanks to my hubby I can't access the Yahoo groups I subscribe to *sigh* The computer thinks I'm him when I attempt logging in. Maybe someone here has access to the Shelterpetznetwork group?
