Iris ran away! (but she's back home safe)

I let Angel and Muffin out this afternoon, and Iris must have followed. I realized that I hadn't seen or heard from Iris in several hours. I tore the house apart--nothing.

Our screen door doesn't like to latch. I had left the wood door open because it was locked. She apparently slipped out without me seeing her.

A friend came over to help me look. We cruised up and down streets, shook bushes all around the house and church.

Kim said she had to leave, and drove off. As soon as she left I found Iris in huge bushes between our fence and the neighbor's garage. I called her name and heard little mews. She didn't even complain when I picked her up.

So glad it turned out well. I live in a neighborhood where it is highly unlikely that anyone would turn her in.

Iris has already been out and about once. I think she KNOWS how lucky she is to have you and that is why she didn't roam far. In any case, thank heavens you found her! I know how worried you must have been during that time she was missing, been through it too. Whew! Stay put, dear Iris!
