It's only 79 degrees right now!! I'm all bundled up in jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt!! Where did summer go?

It's 63* here at 8:00 pm. A few weeks ago at this time it was 83*. ;) I love the cooler weather! :D

I just opened up windows and doors and love this cool spell! It makes me think about making soup, stew, chili - all that fall food :D It is also wonderful to sleep with the fresh cool air! YAY!! My computer weather thingy says it is 69 degrees in Dayton.

It rained today and our windows are frosted because of the humidity.

I was SO happy to be able to pull out my sweaters! I've been known to wear my hoodies when it's 90. I love feeling all snuggled up.

2 weeks ago we were 100 with 106 heat index.
I think Fall is finally approaching. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW. 79 degrees, jeans and long sleeve shirt.... DANG I'd be passed out from over heating with that much clothes on at 80's LOL

I wish it was 79 degrees where I lived. It would feel so good. I can't stand it really hot while I'm in school. You sit at the desk and do your work and your sweating!!

We made acorn squash with ground turkey and sausage mixed and stuffed into the squash on Sunday, and I made a yummy pot of chili yesterday:)

I also bought cinnamon pine cones, and cinnamon and pumpkin air fresheners from bath and body works.

After the summer we had, bring on the fall!

I would MELT in a long-sleeved shirt in 79 degrees! That's hot!

It's now 62 degrees (F, C 17) and it rained all day - thank goodness, as we needed the rain after our VERY dry August.

The funny thing is that I did most of my growing up in Ohio so this SHOULD seem hot :D Living in Japan and then Texas has changed my internal thermostat a lot!! :D

Im glad Im not the only one! Its been getting really chilly at night lately (below 50 some nights) and I've been going to work all bundled up. Then begins the process of undressing as it ends up getting to about 90 before 11 am :rolleyes:

Currently, it's rapidly approaching freezing (32F). It will dip below that overnight. I've had to scrape the frost off my windshield every morning for the last 10 days! I have my woodstove blazing away tonight!

Summer has been none existent this year in the UK! We've had a few hot days but it's been none stop rain!

They are now saying that we are going to be having an Indian summer........knowing the UK, it's more likely to snow!!!!

Yesterday seemed like a wonderful fall day! The high was 82, but with the humidity going down it seemed much cooler.
It was only 43 this morning:eek:

We finally have had rain here for the past 2 or 3 days. Boy, was I surprised to go out yesterday afternoon and fill a chill in the air!!! I sure hope the 100's are gone from TN now and Fall is on its way! We actually slept with the windows open last night instead of sweating to death with the AC going all night!

Dev, I bought one of those cinnamon brooms too! Just makes the whole house smell Fallish! :D

It seems like every year, the minute Labor Day is over with, the days get shorter and cooler. Almost like God flicked a switch to let us know summer is caput.

I keep my house at 70 and sometimes THAT is still too hot for me hehe..... yes even when I am not pregnant.

But then again my mom keeps her bedroom window open in the winter time so I come by it honestly.

Moosmom I agree. I just LOVE the fall. The beautiful colors.... they lovely temperatures. I just love everything about fall.

We will be going below freezing tonight. I have to cover my tomatoes so they don't freeze. We're to have a big high of 8oC today. Fall seemed to arrive in August. It's been chilly here for a while. I totally expect snow by mid October.

We are looking forward to temps in the 80's next week. We haven't had any rain all month and temps have been around 96 every day. Nights are in the low 70's. Humidity is down to about 65%.

Today we are supposed to get some rain--won't count on it. Crops are getting desperate.

Every year I look forward to summer and every year I can't wait for fall. Can't please me at all! :rolleyes:

Are you sure you aren't sick, Missy? 79 and you're cold? OMG......I would love 79. Like Mary, we've been HOT and no rain at all. The high is supposed to be 84 today and that sounds refreshing to me, but I'm still sweating! LOL!!!

It got to 50 here Monday night. I had to turn the furnace on too take the chill off. My old arthritis just can't stand the cold. (ok, I'm just a wimp) :D
