I was just wondering, do vets charge the same treating a cat as they do a dog?

Mine does. The only price difference comes in things that are weight based, like some medications and anasthetic.

I know that Laddie Boy , My Brother and Sister In Laws Dog has has some hefty Vet Bills.
I think that a young Vet or a Vet in a clinic tend to charge more as theyy often have to pay for thier space and time at a clinic and have to have a certain amount of billables.
Thats why I am glad that Our Vet Dr Marsales is on his own and owns his own practice. I am convinced that I saved at least 75 to a 100 dollars per Found Cat at his clinic.

Depends on the vet.

Where I work we charge the same for an office visit whether dog or cat, vaccinations are based on the cost our suppliers charge, and meds are weight based so there are differences there as well as with surgeries since larger animals require more pain meds and anesthetic.

Mine does too. Mine is an equal opportunity paycheck taker ;) She's also a wonderful vet who truly loves animals.
