This is my uncle's dog, Tucker. BC/American Eskimo. They also have her brother, O'Riley, but he was scared of firecrackers that were going off and wouldn't come out.

These dogs are penned up almost 24/7, usually with no water or food. The only exercise they get is running behind my uncle's van. They are COVERED in mats and burrs.

I don't know what to do. :(

Report the situation to your local animal control or humane society, ASAP.

Believe me, I've called before. They do nothing.

Dognap them?

I can't see how ANYONE could ignore those eyes. :(

Can you find someone who will foster them, or can you offer to foster them? Those eyes are killing me... :(

How could they neglect a face as sweet as that?? I hope you can figure out something to help the poor pups out. :(

That is not a good breed to keep penned up 24/7 :( I know it's hard and arduous, but have you tried education? I know it's hard when you're dealing with friends and family, but in the end it's the dog that loses. So, maybe an e-mail or something would be easier (if he uses e-mail)?

It sucks that the dogs are not properly cared for. I know that if animal control won't help and you can't take the dogs it's hard. Maybe if you live close enough to your uncle you can offer to brush the dogs out. Maybe you could go feed the dogs and water them.

have you spoken to your uncle about the dogs? What was his response if you did?

Volunteer to take them walking every day. That will get them out of the pen. You can fill up their food and water dish when you put them back in. Some people don't value something until they think someone else does.

There's no way I can improve their conditions by walking them, I live an hour away. I'm trying to find out their street address, so I can get AC to go out. If they can't do anything, maybe they'll at least SAY something.

My aunt and I have spoken to my uncle hundreds of times, but he says, "Oh, they're fine."

It's my aunt that is the problem. She's like Cruella de Ville.

If the AC doesn't help them out, I'm at least going to get a gift certificate for them to bring the dogs to the groomer I go to to get groomed. Those mats must really hurt. :(

Get them the heck out of there. If if this a child, you wouldn't hesitate. Don't wait until it's too late. Just get them safe!

Easier said than done my friend.

I'm trying to find out a way I can help them.
