1) Yappy Hour!

Description: The Naperville Area Humane Society holds its first Yappy Hour, giving pet lovers an opportunity to make friends and meet other animal lovers who live in the area. Bringing a dog is not required; some shelter dogs will be on hand if you don’t have your own. Tickets are $20 before the event or $25 at the door. Ticket price includes light appetizers and one drink. Two Bostons Pet Boutique and Gourmet Bakery is donating delicious mini bon-bons for all the canines in attendance. All dogs must be fully vaccinated and well behaved. Reserve tickets at napervillehumanesociety.org; for more information call Mary at the Naperville Area Humane Society, 630-420-8989 ext. 18.
2) Harmony House Pet Psychic Fair and Halloween Boutique (this is the shelter from which I adopted Cassie)
Saturday, September 29, 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Free admission
Gifted psychics can do readings about you or your pets. Individual 20-minute readings are available for $20 each. First readings are at 11:20 a.m. Come early, as time slots fill up quickly. Sorry, your pet cannot attend the fair, but please bring their photo for a pet reading. Shop for Halloween jewelry, gifts, and decorations in our Halloween Boo-tique. (Note: No adoption hours on Saturday, Sept. 29 due to increased visitors.)
