I just had to share this with you all. My son, Jordan, who is 12, is a member of the Young Marines here in Florida. Today we attended his promotion/award ceremony.

He is now PFC Jordan. He received awards and ribbons in the following:
Organized Unit Trip - one Bronze Star
Organized Unit Trip- ribbon
Regimental Encampment - ribbon
Regimental Encampment - one Bronze Star
Drill competition - ribbon
Physical Fitness - ribbon
Heatlh and Fitness Level II - ribbon
Swimming Level I - ribbon
Drug Demand Reduction - ribbon
Basic First Aid - ribbon
CPR - ribbon
Advanced First Aid - ribbon
Marksmanship - ribbon.

It took everything for me to hold back the tears that my little boy is growing up and making his family so PROUD. He was so excited showing his ribbons to everyone. He was only one of two that received the Marksmanship ribbon!!
Here are a few pictures.

Congratulations, Jordan! I like the last two photos best, because he's got a big smile on his face! I wish you much happiness and success, and many wonderful things in your future.

I like the backgrouds with the first two but they are not allowed to smile and joke around while in formation. Even though he was not in formation I think he wanted to "play the part". They are so serious looking when they are participating. I wish in the photo with me he would have smiled a real smile instead of that "Uncle Jason" gooff face thing(Jason is my brother). I have another one with him smiling and showing his ribbons...I meant to post that one too
Oh wat the heck I will post it now...
