Well...It looks like standing near the PT water has had an effect. I found out today that I will soon be the mother to a very healthy baby GIRL! Im one of those rare cases where everything seems absolutely normal until the third trimester so I didn't even know up until this week. No morning sickness, no swelling, no discomfort, NOTHING! Im not even showing, yet I'm 5 months along!

Living with irregular cycles since I was 12, being a bit "late" was nothing unusual. I WAS on birth control to try and regulate things (it worked sort of, I got it to the point where I had a cycle every three months but a couple of times it went five months in between, and at the time I wasn't sexually active). Im just still...floored about the whole thing. I had a hunch, and so did the doctor when I went in last week for a food poisioning issue and I took a pregnancy test. I scheduled appointments with my gyno right away, and she even did a rush on my ultrasound so I got it done today. Sure enough, I saw my little girl (she cooperated quite nicely so we could get a for sure conformation). This is one of the happiest days of my life :D and it is for my husband too. We've been discussing taking the leap into parenthood for a while now, and John always said he wanted a girl. We even had a name picked out, Nina Adriana :)

My mom is scanning the ultrasound pix into the computer on Saturday, so soon PT will meet my baby girl for the first time!

And yes, my daughter will grow up right along with Hoodini and the rest of my cats. John has been really great about dealing with the litterboxes anyway, not even knowing I was pregnant (along with the rest of the housework :D ) and my doctor said as long as he keeps dealing with the boxes everything is all good.

Hooray! :D

An old co-worker had a similar thing happen where she kept getting her period, didn't seem to get any bigger, didn't have any signs or symptoms, and suddenly she went in for something unrelated and discovered she was six months along! Her little boy is six now and doing great.

Congratulations to you and John. :)

Congratulations! I just had a baby girl myself in June and I must say I am sooo jealous - my first 5 months were awful!! I cannot imagine not knowing because from 7 weeks til about 15 weeks I was vomiting so much I took medicine for it :(. Good luck, I hope the rest of your pregnancy is as smooth. I can now say with experience that those first moments with your baby are so special and memories of labor pain go out the window. Enjoy!

Woohoo! I'm so happy for you! Major Congrats going on here! :)

Ashley was the same way -- used to not getting her cycle during the swimming season and no morning sickness at all. It wasn't until she started showing that she knew. People just can't understand how its possible to NOT know, but it is almost too easy to not know!

Again, congrats mommy-to-be!

Congrats. I'm so happy for you. It is a wonderful feeling. Just wait until she starts throwing tantrums in the belly. You'll probably be like a friend of mine she didn't even start showing until 8 Months.

Congratulations!

My mother was over four months pregnant with me before she found out and I was her 4th child so she knew the drill. She was 43 and on birth control so she thought she was just in early menopause. Imagine her surprise!

They were worried about my health since my mother took the birth control for those months while pregnant but everything was fine with me. She said the dr's first words were "she's perfect".

Thanks so much guys! Hearing other stories like mine makes me feel not so unusual :) My mom asked me "How could you NOT know?!" as all of her pregnancies made themselves known quite early!

I felt kicking earlier today. John swears he can't feel anything but its only a matter of time ;)
