I tried to find the wire story in the Hartford Courant just to show you the ugly-@$$ picture of her, but couldn't find it.

She was one mean 6itch!!! I wonder who's gonna inherit THAT frtune??

Facinating! I was actually glad to read up on the "Queen of Mean" (crime stories are interesting to me :D )

Learn something new every day. She sure was mean, but not very wise...I sure wouldn't commit high level tax fraud around employees that hated my guts!

sherman helmsley (spelling?) was a funny FUNNY black dude from the jeffersons and Amen. I cant remember if thats the actors name or the characters name....either way magic green herbs help me watch the Jeffersons on TV Land.

Sherman Helmsley played George Jefferson, on "The Jeffersons", back in the 80's I think.

Oh, used to watch the Jefferson's all the time, I'm just not good with names of people playing in those, just sit back and enjoy.

I read that she had one son who passed away when he was only 40 years old.

But she has four grandchildren and many more great grandchildren. So I suppose her fortune went to them.

Yes, she was a mean one - but she did give a lot of money away too.

I remember when her son passed away. Leona Helmsley evicted her daughter-in-law and her son's children from the apartment they shared with her son. Now THAT'S mean!

I'll bet you anything she leaves it all to charity and her pets.
