On friday, I finished a painting of a landscape finally and wanted to start a new one, so I chose to do a dog. As a reference picture, I chose a pic of my friend's dog Hobbes. I started it last night and I am not finished yet, but very close. Just wanted to know what you'll think of it. I have some pics of the progressing work.
Keep in mind this is only my SECOND painting I've done so it's really not that good.

Painted black on the top and the whole belle is painted white. ^ can't see the white considering the canvas paper is white.

Thank you, both!

I finished it. I know it's not perfect and it doesn't exactly look like the Original picture, but I think it looks pretty good for a beginner.

Finished yet another one. Personally I think this one is ALOT better then the other dog one. Fish are easier. I think I will stick for the tropical fish since they are easy, yet fun to paint. :D It's a Yellow Tang. Which came out pretty good. It isn't really a based off any ONE picture, but I used alot of different ones for the coloring.

I am not too sure, but should I add bubbles, or maybe a plant to it? I really am not sure.

Oh, that is fascinating to see the work in progress!

I really like both the beagle and the fish. Please keep doing dogs too, because I think this one is really nice.

Cute Maltese---are you thinking of making painting a career or just do it for a hobby?

Well, not really. Probably just a hobby. I've started painting a bit late and I am not really very good at it..I used to take art lessons but I only sketched while participating in them. I am sure I will improve overtime, but I will probably just keep it as a hobby. I am more into photography which hopefully I will get into more, and I am ALOT better at it lol!

Plus I am going into a special program in High school called "animal and batonical sciences" so I might get a job involving animals. I am almost sure I will lol.
