I have to have the most irresponsible, idiotic, stupid neighbours in all of Verdun.

About 3 houses down from me, my neighbours have 2 beautiful, outdoor/indoor, all black cats. One is the mama, the other, her 10 month old baby. The past 3 days, the baby was crying around the street and I asked around if anyone knew why. Well, what I heard was the saddest thing. The mama got hit by a car last Wednesday, made her way to the sidewalk and dropped dead right in front of her house. The baby has been crying around looking for her mama. :( It just broke my heart to hear this.

What makes me so darn mad, is the fact that they lost one of their cats to the heavy traffic that we have on this street and they STILL let the baby out.

When will people learn??????????????

Lorraine, I am so sorry that this has happened. And that you, INSTEAD of them, is the one hurting and worrying...

That poor baby kitty, seeing his momma like that, and missing her so much :( It is awful....

They will never learn, they never do :(

I wouldn't be surprised Katie if these are the type of people that think, "Oh it's just a cat."

Has to be that type. Who else could do that? Poor little baby.

Maybe (and yes I know you want NO MORE KITTIES too :p ) but soon can find the newest kitten a home and poof her. Maybe find a home for her first, then take her in? I will pray for her.

How horrible and sad at the same time.:( I sure hope that the baby will be okay. I wish that these people would keep him/her inside at all times. Do you even know if this cat has been spayed or neutered yet?

Some people should not be permitted to keep pets. :(

That is so sad. The kitten must miss her momma so much. Poor kitten...having to go through all that.

When will people learn? Never. There is someone also out there that just doesn't care.

Sad to say they dont care and to them its just an animal , not a Companion. I hope one day justice will prevail.

That is so heartbreaking.

I think people should have to pass a test to become parents and pet owners! At least you should have to be required to take some classes. I mean good grief, you typically have to have some type of training for most jobs and tasks but for something as important as caring for another life (be it human or animal), nothing. Doesn't make much sense to me.

Of course I'm also for branding a big I for Idiot or S for Stupid on people too so, heheheh, guess no one will elect me to office any time soon. That guy who cut me off in traffic last week needs a big ole "A" if you know what I mean. ;) :p

Well, I didn't see the baby out at all yesterday and so far today I haven't seen her either. Keeping fingers crossed that the boneheads have decided to keep her in.

KAK, I have no idea if she is spayed or not.

Koxka, the minute you try to approach her, she runs from you or up her stairs. It would be hard to try and "Poof" her.

Lori, there are quite a few people on this street that I would LOVE to brand with a capital "A," along with an "S" for stupid and then another "S" for stoneheads.

How sad. And frustrating! I can't imagine that they decided to keep the kitty indoors. People like that don't care. That's how I got into active rescue in the first place. When my first cat, Peeka, came to me seriously injured, her family said "Hey, she's an outdoor cat." They wouldn't even take her to the vet. So she became mine and the rest is history. That type of person never learns because they don't care. They don't think they're doing anything wrong because "it's just a cat".

How heartbreaking, Lorraine. I am so sorry.

I hope you can poof the kitten. Those sh**heads will probably just think she's been hit by another car or killed by another animal or something.

We are all saying our prayers and weaving our spells and doing our dances to bring about a better life for this baby.

You're being much too kind, Lorraine. I have way too much respect for you and all my other PT friends to say what I really think about these, well, insert your own expletives!

LES for that poor baby and prayers that Gary's Rescue Team is on the way to Montreal to save this sweet little life so (s)he will find a loving furever home!

What about *Poof*? ;)

I just thought the same thing! *POOF* ;)

Can it be done discretely somehow??

Where is the M.O.P. (Master of Poofers) AKA GARY/CATMANDU? He should have some good tips! ;)
