I found this 25 gallon tank, for a steal at $10, so I went to work desiging it up for Sass and Kat lol

there is pipeing burried in the bedding, they can run down into the pipeing, dig there way back up lol(at least thats what Kat likes to do lol) the Pipeing runs underneith the tray, with just has shallow bedding, so the wheel has a place as Kat is a wheel nut lol. the water bottle is attached to a small ladder, there is a paper towel tube, hay mxed into the bedding, and a wooden log that they can play in, and the food is all over so they can forage.

It looks great but runged wheels are no good. They could get their tails or their feet caught in them. Mesh wheels work just fine. What lucky gerbils you have though!

I have been aware of that for many many years, but thanks anyway.

Yet you continue to put them at risk? Sorry if I seem rude but why take the risk?

LIFE is a risk, I dont buy into hype. that wheel has been used for 60 odd Gerbils, and not a single one has ever been injured by it. I jave been told the cages are awful and will kill them, that pine will kill then or shorten their lifespan, that plastic will poisen them etc... my Gerbils average lifespans of 6 years speaks for itself. thats living on pine and ceder bedding, in wire cages, with plastic bowls, cage bases and toys, and spoked wheels. My Gerbils live on average twice as long as the Gerbils belonging to people who buy into the hype. no sence in fixeing something thats already better then average.
