Can't Jack go back, please???

Jack seems to be sticking around.
I tried to be friendly, and he chewed on my face.
I was minding my own business and he trampled on me.
I tried to share my space, and he took over...
I've given him the cold shoulder, the snub, and the freeze-stare,
and I've even tried to hide and pretend he doesn't exit, but
Every time I turn around, there he is...

Ah, dear Star, you are in good company as a BIG SISTER! There are many of us here on PT, both human and fur. And I have a different take to what Karen posted. Baby brothers grow UP, but they remain . . . baby brothers! :rolleyes: They seem to always be there to remind you of your goofs, and to tease and taunt and drive you NUTS.

Now Jack, you know you got it made in the shade with Pat and Jojo! I think you have them wrapped around your pawsies! Now try . . . just TRY to make nice to Star. She has a LOT of say in what happens in that house, ya know? She can make sure she gets ALL the treats! :eek:

If it makes you feel any better, Nebo really didn't like Keva at all for the first few weeks. Now they get along really well (99% of the time, they are huskies, so they "disagree" every now and then), they play every day, lay be eachother, etc. I hope Star will accept Jack, I think it will just take time. He's very handsome! Star is looking beautiful as ever...and a bit grumpy. ;)

Poor Star... you just look so put out having to deal with an energetic pup. It will get better, so pop them ears back up and give him a chance! I know it's tough, and it's hard getting over Sherman, but he wants you to have happy sweetie... big hugs coming your way and Jack's as well.

All I can say is WOW! They are both so breathtakingly GORGEOUS! I still check on "my" Hampton ... he is doing great! I sure wish my back could have held up to him. My yard was really way too small for him too though. I noticed your very tall fence, definitely another necessity with Huskies! ;)

We're pretty sure Jack will grow on Star, he's a very lovable & sweet boy. She doesn't seem nearly so depressed, and is eating again. He is delightful, loves to race around and play, follows me everywhere, and he's just a really good boy. He loves attention, has been great with people, dogs & kids we've met out walking, and he doesn't seem to notice Star's attitude. He just plops right down next to her. Maybe her grumpyness is just for our benefit, I think she kind of likes having him around. ;)

Angie, Jack has a thing for sleeping upside down stretched along the wall. Sue (first mom) said all their huskies like to sleep upside down! Mine like sleeping with their heads hanging off the dog bed lower than their bodies, too.

Robin, Sherman and Jack are from the same breeder/kennel. We were so pleased to be able to get Jack, he feels like a "family" connection. I also got to see Sherman's mom, dad, & sis while I was there.

it is easier to get along now because I just avoid him. I hide behind mom's chair & desk when she works, I go sleep in a different room than he's in. I go to the other side of the tables & furniture. I go to the opposite end of the yard. The only time I really can't avoid him is when we go for walks, and then I linger & sniff a lot while he pulls straignt ahead. He steals my toy, I steal his & play with it till he gets back. He takes my favorite spot, I find a new one. He's in my way, I stay out of his. I am old enough to know that none of these things are worth fighting over.

If what you had asked me, "Star, are you less bored?" then Yes, avoiding him gives me something to do with my time. Watching him is more interesting than watching inanimate objects. And I'm motivated to eat my food now.

If what you meant to ask was "Star, are you any happier?" then the answer is No, not really.
:( I miss Sherman.
