Welcome, Malaika. If you love dogs you are in the right place. Talua is beautiful, you must be very proud.
This is a drawing of our two Schnauzers by one of the members. Dom Perignon is two years old and pepper and salt, Miss Daisy is also two years old and black.

Hello, Malaika and Linda B. Welcome to pet talk. I have a feeling you're going to love it here. I own two dogs, a five year old Husky (Dakota) and a roughly three year old stray Shepherd mix (Patience). I recently had to put my beloved Rottie to sleep in January of this year. I do not know how to put pictures on here, so I can't put one on.

If you're an animal lover (which you most likely are since you're here) there's an important website that you should visit. It's http://www.saveastray.com/ All you do is click where it says to click here and sponsors will donate nine cents a click towards a spaying/neuturing assistance program. They ask for only one click per day, otherwise I'd spend my whole lunch hour clicking that thing. I do have the privilege of having a computer at work and at home so I can get two a day in that way. I know it's sneaky but it's for a good cause.

Hi LindaB!

Welcome to this forum. If you want to see a great Web site for Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue in Hudson, MA, go to:
www.ygrr.org (http://www.ygrr.org)

Of course, this is also for everybody else that would like to become familiar with this great organization http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/cool.gif, http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/cool.gif

I have to put my two cents worth in about Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue. First of all, I have a friend, who lives in Massachusetts, who not only owns a Golden she got from YGRR, she also volunteers and does home visits for them. Best of all, after being introduced to their site, I bought two of their $25 raffle tickets in January. The winners were announced in March and I won first prize! $3,000!!! My name is shown on their website. They are currently conducting another raffle, and even if you don't win, it is certainly a wonderful group to support.

Welcome to the board, Malaika & Linda. We live in Australia (Down Under!) & own 2 elderly shetland sheepdogs & 1 tibetan spaniel. If you're not familiar with the tibetan spaniel breed, visit http://www.tibbies.net
Our tibbie, Angel, is among the dogs listed under 'A' in the 'Your Tibbies Photos' section.

Thanks, Jackie, we do love her so much. Tibbies have a very unusual temperament.
A tradition in the land they come from says that tibetan spaniels are 1/3 dog, 1/3 cat, & 1/3 monkey.

Hi Logan:

Congratulations on winning the first prize on the YGRR raffle!!! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif
Like your friend, I also do volunteer work for YGRR. I am the person in charge of sending the "thank you" cards for all the gifts and donations we get. During membership renewal time and the holidays I was sending 200 to 300 cards a week.
Have you ever seen "Golden Times," the quarterly newsletter of YGRR? Have you became a member yet?
They will have the annual Doggie Walk on October 14, at the Borderland State Park in Easton, MA. If you want an overdose of Goldens plan to go. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/cool.gif
