I was suppose to post these a month or so ago and just never got around to it. Not that I didn't have the oppurtunity just haven't have the get up and go to do it. Sorry. :o These pics were taken at a small local animal park. A small zoo per say. It was once private but due to the number of animals and some of the types they acquired they were 'forced' to open publically or the numbers and types had to be rehomed. Needless to say they opened publically and have a lovely little place. They have a huge amount of undeveloped land which they develope a little more each year to add new animals. It is still all run by one family with the vets being the children of the original 'developer' of the zoo.

Anyway enough blabbing here are some pics. :)
Hope you enjoy them. I just love this place and some of the animals recognize me (IMO) when I return. I have one bird that showboats for me all the time. We have not seen him do it with others aside from the keepers. :D

This first pic was taken from the car going about 80+km/h. It is of the city walls and castle of Marostica. It can been seen enroute to Parco Faunistico Capeller.

couldn't get pics of the other snakes. They were too well hid and the albino ball python was being uncooperative.

Can't remember what this bird is. This is the female. She is near her enclosure. The male was patroling the fence. They had eggs.

He was sooo adorable. So many of the animals were flaked out with the heat though. If they weren't hiding they were soaking in the water. It was like 40+c that day.

I liked the first raccoon photo; so close to the cool water and just too tired to jump in for now!

Owls are symbols of good luck in Sicily. I remember there were ceramic ones all over. I bought one and have it on my wall in my living room. I loved these photos too.

These are wonderful pictures, thanks! I need to go find Part 2!
