Five years ago today, my little timid boys arrived:

How they spent most of their puppyhood; trying to become one with their concrete kennel; Antare always in front, protecting his terrified brother, despite his own fears.

They are still timid little guys, some things can't be fixed, but they have made great progress. That first day, it took hours to coax them out of my truck. This morning, Antare and I had a little debate about wether or not he was going outside! Antare is a fine little sled dog who will put up with just about anything if it means he can go for a run!

Delta is still more timid than his brother, but he's made progress too. He's easier to catch and seems to enjoy a little attention sometimes. Every morning he greets with a playbow and a wooooooo. Somedays he continues our morning chat all day if I'm outside. Every time I look at his sweet face, I am grateful he came back.

Happy Gotcha Day, Antare and Delta! I would LOVE to dive through my monitor and give you both HUGE hugs - But you're not too keen on that. So I'll enjoy your photos instead! Maybe you'll let your mum give you a pat for me?

Tamara, I remember that terrible long, long time that Delta was missing...I didn't realized he had been a timid puppy before that!

How wonderful he is back...and they are both beautiful dogs.

Sending a PT Prayer that they will let all your love soak in and lose the scared feeling!

HUGS to those babies! :)

Stunning photo of Antare, surely you must have that one on your wall of fame! Reading about their early life, and then seeing their photos now, both of them looking at you with such trust, brings tears of joy to my eyes! (((((hugs))))) to those two sweeties!

OH that first picture of them just makes me want to cry.... Antare looks so scared, but trying to be so brave. I'm glad they have such a wonderful home now. Big hugs to you boys... hope you get better with receiving affection every day.
