MANITOWOC, Wis. (AP) -- A Wisconsin company is voluntarily recalling 14-and-a-half-ounce cans of French Style Green Beans that were canned under various labels and sold in 20 states, including North Carolina.

Manitowoc-based Lakeside Foods recalled 15-thousand cases. The Food and Drug Administration says the product may not have been processed adequately to eliminate the potential for botulism toxin.

Goodness! Less than a week ago I stood there looking at them trying to decide of I wanted the French cut or regular (I love both). I finally decided on the regular cut, thinking next time I would get the French cut.

Fortunately we haven't gotten any french cut beans in quite a while.

Just goes to prove that no food supply is truely safe unless you grow/raise it and process it yourself.
