I took Potter in for his 6 month exam and he has mites. Poor boy I didn't even realize he was itch, probably because he got his new collar a few weeks ago and he has been mad about that so I missed the ear itching if there has been any. My vet put cleaned them out and medicated them and put him on advantage multi.

He was an unhappy boy in the car, he needs a bath tonight he peed in the crate

Poor baby! Mites and a horriable ride in the car? Ewwww! It was a bad day for Potter and now he has to get a bath on top of all that? Don't worry Potter, tomorrow will be a better day!

The Found Cats had a mite problem as Philip brought some in. Luckily it was only the Cats who went to visit him so we were able to get them all. They are a right darned pest arent they.
We hope that Potters ears are now clean as a bell.

Be careful when you bathe him.......do NOT get his ears of head wet!

That ear mite medicine has to stay in his ears a full 30 days to work properly. I know, we just went through this with Taz, he to was not a happy camper
!!

Don't worry, 30 days goes by pretty fast! Good luck with this.

I wondered about that because they said no baths for 2 days after the advantage...guess I will need to spray him with perfume??? :D

Nah, just take a wet washcloth and clean him up!

We have a special washcloth just for Taz.......he gets his butt washed on a regular basis  he has a lot of litter box issues. ;)

Have fun wiping butts and such!

If the Advantage Multi is anything like the Frontline Plus then yes you shouldn't bathe for 2 days. However you should be able to get away with a mild spray of water only on the hiney to help cut down the smell and mess until you can give him a full bath in a couple days.

I havenn't put on the advantage multi...the vet cleaned the ears and medicated and I bought the advantage multi for prevention in the future.

I called and they said I could bathe him but avoid the ears, he doesn't smell too bad and I want his ears to get better.
