Wom, these are much closer shots than I have seen on TV. The horror is even worse up close. When I view these I just want to thank God more lives weren't lost. I can't even imagine what everyone on that bridge went through physically and emotionally.

I get knots in my stomack everytime I see pictures of this. Most of you know I work on a boat that runs the Mississippi River and I have seen a lot of bridges from the underside and some I have wondered why they are still open. I will always worry about how many we go under even more now than ever. I have been on a boat up there several times and wonder if I went under that bridge...

Those are some of the best pictures I have seen yet. I may come back and save them.

In this day and age of high tech everything, why in the world are our bridges and roads not safe? :( :( These pictures sure do tell it all. I continue to pray for all who were affected by this horrible tragedy.
