Oscar the Cat predicts when you go.
It's called a gift, something special to know.
I don't fear death. but something I dread
Is the household trouble, predicted by Ed!

It's table tops scattered, water on floor!
That speedy escape, He's shot out the door.
It's all spilled food, the hair that is shed.
It's a 6 a.m. wake up, while I'm still in bed!

No coffin or casket, or granite headstone-
But rather the way, he tears up my home!
But furniture clawing isn't his habit.
It's the running in the house, fast as a rabbit!

There are times that I want to rest in peace!
I just have to wait for the action to cease.
My time's not for a while, Why do you ask?
Clean up after Ed, will be my final task.

Fin. ;)

Richard this is your best poem yet! I loved it (except the part about you wanting to *rest in peace* :p). We want you around for a long, long time and, as you say in the last line, the Edster needs you too! :D Very good!

Again Richard you haveproven yourself the Poet Laureate of Pet Talk. You should publish you own book the Poetry of Ed The Cat.
That would sell like Whiskas Temptations on this site.

I hope you are keeping all these fabulous poems that you have made RICHARD. When will your book of poems be coming out? :D I'll definitely be first in line to buy one.
