the lady was told there were 3 females but when they arrived one of the "females" was actually a male lol so the newest additions are TWO female Gerbils, just babys, both black with white chins and a little white strip on each front paw, their sisters. we decieded to play off the names a little, since we went all the way to saskatoon to get them, thei name are Kat and Sass. Kat is my moms and Sass is mine :p they are little sweeties...and kinda odd lol Sasses fav. postion to sleep is in the corner, he rear legs frog style on the ground and her head and front paws in a hight coronr so they her belly is suspended in the air lol she just THROWS herself into that psostion, its hilarious! I will have pics soon.

How cute! Any chance they are pregnant since they were in a cage with a male?

Sorry I knew that baby syrian hamsters could get pregnant at the age of 4 weeks so I guess I figured the same could be said for gerbils.

Awww. They're so cute, but how on earth do you tell them apart?

in pictures..I dont lol they are indentical in apperence, but they have differnt personalitys. both are very curious, but Kat settles down after a bit, while Sass just keeps on exploring. Kat sleeps on her side, streched out. but Sass always sleeps with her rear legs turned out like a frog. Kat is also a copycat, se will do her own thing at first, but if Sass does something long enugh, Kat will try it too.
