I'm new here and just wanted to say Hi! I've been visiting this site for a while and finally had to join. If you are wondering about my name Dixie Belle, that is the name of my St. Bernard. I have two other dogs, a Gold. Ret. named Justin, who will be 10 years old this June. Then I have Mama Dog (her real name is Brown Bay but no one calls her that) She will be 7 years old in June. Dixie Belle is 1 year and 2 months old. My husband has a Dalmation named Blue that will be 9 years old this summer. And then there is my cat (can't forget her) Her name is Jewel and she is almost 11 years old. Then there is Anastasia, my hampster. I have no clue how old she is. Please, intorduce your self to me. I think it is so great to talk to people who love animals as much as I do.

Hi Dixie Belle. Welcome, welcome, welcome. I am glad you joined us. Being new too I have found this is the greatest place to talk with and get to know others with the same love of our pets. Even tho I feel they are my babies and part of the family, many people think we pet lovers are nuts. They do not understand the close relationships and joy we experience. So glad to meet someone like me.

I have two golden retrievers, both boys. Sandy is 2 1/2 yrs, Moses 11 months. I have a kitty named Jasper, and he has been missing since last month...and guess that's why I call myself Jasper's Mom, because no matter what, I will always be. Over time I have had other dogs and kitties, fish, parakeets and my son had a gerbil once. I have rescued two dogs that I found homes for, and sometimes consider volunteering at the local Humane Society, or maybe the nearest no-kill shelter.

Let us know more about yourself, your dogs and kitty.

I have 3 cats at the moment, Gigio who is an 18 year old male and 2 females, maya, 4, and Prema who is almost 3.

I'd really love to have a dog too, that's why I also read and contribute to dogs pages, hearing about other people's is a bit like having one myself...

Hi Dixie Belle! I love that name. I'm Logan and am "mom" to one human 10 year old girl, Helen, plus 2 two year old Golden Retrievers, Honey and Lilly. Plus we have two cats, 12 year old Mimi, and a recently acquired stray, Butter, who our fet thinks is about 3-4 years old. We also have 2 hamsters, Evelyn and Phoebe. Whew!!! Makes me tired just thinking about all these mouths I have to feed!

Welcome, if you are a dog lover you are in the right place. Our animals are everything to us. Our grown up family think we are a little on the nutty side because our world revolves around our dogs. it sounds like you have a busy and wonderful family.

Hi Dixie Belle. Do you have any pictures of your babies? I would love to see them sometime. I have a black long hair cat named Shiloh and a miniature poodle named Reece. I am the true definition of an animal nut. Sometimes I forget when I'm in public with Reece and I have my usual conversations with him. I always thought having conversations with dogs was normal until I notice the people looking at me funny. I work at the humane society and have great conversations with the animals there too. I just wanted to introduce myself and wlcome you to the board! I just recently started here, too! In case you were wondering,TollSettFK means: "Toll" means Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever that we wil sonn, hopefully be getting! :-) "Sett" means the Irish Setter that we used to have :-(. "F" is the initial for the name Finn, which is what we will be naming our Tollar. "K" is the initial for the name Katie, what our Irish Setter used to be named. Welcome to our little group. I have two dogs, Hannah (aka Snarla) who is a white Cockapoo, age 5. She was raised from a pup. Then there is my adopted boy, Tucker, a red and white cocker spaniel, who will be with us for 2 years this July. We think he is about 4 years old. Like Aly, I chat away with my dogs (and other dogs I meet) and my life pretty much revolves around them. I have found such contentment in living this way and only regret that I didn't discover the joys of this focus earlier. One day I hope to adopt a cat but there is still work that needs to be done with my husband to accomplish this.

And if your wondering how i got my board name its the 2 syllables in Simba's name switched around. Also Simba was dog of the February 13th.
