Saturday morning, I get an email approval to start trapping at a cat colony in my neighborhood. I was SO excited! Loaded the car and headed out. Realized I left one thing in the driveway; went back; pulled in the driveway; and jumped out to get the item. I LEFT THE CAR IN DRIVE! I never put it in Park. I turn around and there goes the car, UP hill, right past me, and into the closed garage door.

Later, I locate a dealer for the door manufacturer, call, and explain what happened. The very nice woman says "well, there is only ONE model that they have stopped making; which model do you have?" Can you guess?

Geesh!

Maybe the store with the NEW garage doors will make a donation for the cat rescue....

You poor girl!

Sorry about that, Sandie. It reminds me of the day I backed into the house with my brand new car about 5 years ago. :(

I hope you get a replacement somehow and get it fixed.

This is the 4th colony I've trapped; I wonder how long before the excitement wears off???

No damage to the car, or any one else. Just that door.

The repair man comes tomorrow (Monday) afternoon to tell us his thoughts on the situation. The receptionist said they have ONE panel; if I need two, I'll have to get a new door.

So Dad kept busy today working on it, made THREE trips to Home Depot (he LOVES it there!) and is hoping we will only need one panel.

I feel like such an idiot!

BIG OOPS! :p

Silly things happen to us all, it's just an unfortunate occurance! But the discontinuation of the door make, well that's just sod's law...

Hopefully it'll get fixed swiftly and easily.

Repair man said "it can't be fixed." Need a new door, estimate $525.

Dad spent $24.95 (plus gas for his 3 trips to Home Depot) and it is almost finished. He repaired it. :)

Dads are often great like that. :D I'm glad it's getting fixed for you.

I used to have a corvette, and the first time I drove it, I drove into the garage and hit a huge metal cabinet. D'oh!
