Starting in the middle of May, we have had a little visitor come visit every single day. I finally got some pictures of her....

This was the first picture I got of her by our office window. I did not have a bird feeder up at the time. She visited all our windows -- I could hear her in the bathroom, the dining room, the living room, our bedroom the kitchen, etc.

This is her flying and pecking at the dining room window...

So I went and got a birdie feeder that suction-cups to the kitchen window. She would just sit there for literally hours and stare in at us....

I also have a short video that I will try and figure out how to attach here...

:o Will that work?? :o And sorry about the cheesy music in the background :p

Anyway, has anybody ever heard of such a thing???

Oh, and the male now comes and visits the bird feeder, too. They are the only 2 birds to visit the feeder so far.

Well it seems that you and your family hve been adopted by this little cute. What a sweet thing! I enjoyed the video - music and all! Who was that singing? It sounded a little like Alan Jackson to me for a minute but I don't recognize the song and I think I know every song he ever sang. :p

Thanks for sharing that... It was special to me because this is the first year I've seen these little guys (American Goldfinch if anyone is wondering) here where i live in the city since moving to this house. All we usually have are House/English Sparrows and Starlings and are lucky if we see one native song-bird species per year. (Besides the monotonous American Robin or Mourning Dove. :-/ )

:) That is so special! Before we moved, I had a birdfeeder right outside my window by my computer. There was one little redish finch who would come knocking on the glass when the feeder was empty!

How cute!! That little bird seems to be very interested in peeking in....or maybe she like her reflection? ;)

oh how I love reading little "slice of life" stories from PT folks. :D

ps would the voice singing be Joe Diffie? Is It Cold In Here Or Is That Just You?

How how adorable! I wonder what the fascination with wanting in? That kind of peeping tom is welcome any hour of any day :) Thanks for sharing your little friend with us, that's so special :)

What a blast, I love it! You got some really neat pictures of her too.

I'm going to have to find one of those suction cup feeders and hope I can attract a peeping tom, LOL!

Such a sweet finch! Aren't you lucky!!!

We have a pair showed up last week and hang out in the vegetable garden. Their song is so sweet!

Keep your eyes open; these little ones nest late, often hatching eggs in August. So you may be seeing a nest in your area soon!

How sweet! I love goldfinches!!!

She looks like she is enjoying a show: she has treats and is watching all the people caged up!!! :D

That was my first thought too. You don't usually see a bird want to come
inside a strange house. Will it come near you outside? It's a pretty bird.

What a cute little peeper! I'm envious, I miss having a balcony for a bird feeder at my last place.
