 Had to take my car to the repair shop today. Needed a new muffler, cost $689.00. :( :( :( :(

The art show is this weekend and I had set aside some money to buy art work and save for a trip. Life had other plans for me. No new painting.

As the wonderfully talented John Lennon said.
Life is what happens when you make plans.

I wonder what other amazing music John would have composed had that bullet not found him.

So in honor of Mr. Lennon I am adding on to this post.
What is everyone's favorite Beatles song. I know I know an almost impossible question, so many to choose from. I will start with one of my favorites
Penny Lane

Oh my... pick just one Beatles song as a favorite?! That's next to impossible!!

Can I name at least my top 5?

1. Michelle (ma belle)
2. Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds
3. With a little help from my friends
4. Let it Be
5. In my life

Gosh.. even with those, there are so many more that I love.

Before this dance is through,
I think I'll love you too,
I'm so happy when you dance with me.
I don't wanna kiss or hold your hand,
If it's funny, try an' understand.
There is nothing else I'd rather do,
'Cos I'm happy just to dance with you.

...sung by my heart throb....George :)

Rocky Racoon (yes, a weird one to pick as a fav, but I just LOVE it)
Yesterday
Hey Jude
Julia
Imagine

All of those songs tie for my favorite Beetles songs. It depends on my mood which I like the best of those 5.

I'm sorry to hear about your car, that's expensive :(

That's really tough.

hmmm.......there's...........and.......

Can't do it.

But here's an interesting tidbit. I heard somewhere that most people know some of the words to EVERY Beatles song.

Does that count?

Sorry to hear about your car!

My favorite Beatles song is probably "Across the Universe," then probably "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," and "Something."

I have to say I love almost every song they've ever done! :)

That's too bad....My car needed new front brakes, to the tune of $270, last week...which on my tight budget was almost all of my "bills" money. Blah.

Depends on my mood, but here are a few favorites:

Yesterday
You Know My Name, Look Up the Number
Back in the USSR
While my Guitar Gently Weeps
The Long and Winding Road
Help of my Friends

but my FAVORITE stanza is from Day in the Life....
Woke up, fell out of bed,
Dragged a comb across my head
Found my way downstairs and drank a cup,
And looking up I noticed I was late.
Found my coat and grabbed my hat
Made the bus in seconds flat
Found my way upstairs and had a smoke,
Somebody spoke and I went into a dream (ahhhh ahaha ahaaaaa) :)

I don't know why, its just FUN to sing along with that part! :D

Most of my favorites are from later in their career. I love anything by them really.

Yes it was expensive for the muffler, I also needed the catalic converter replaced. The part alone for it at the Toyota dealer would have been $1204.00. Rad Air a local chain gave me a much better deal. I did call my local Toyota dealer in Ohio and asked him and he confirmed $1204.00 for the part so I got a good deal. I did manage to buy a lovely flower pot at the show. Spent a lovely evening with my daughter there. Now that she has moved out we get along sooooooooooo much better.

I hope you are happy! I just put my Help album to play!

I took my car for a $20 oil change a few weeks ago. Walked out over $600 poorer. But had the BEST customer service. A ride home and they brought my car to me at home...WASHED...when they were done....

I like any song by the Beatles, but my favorite songs are "Eleanor Rigby", "Do you want to know a secret", and "Help"!
