I'll join you Richard, although it has been a rather sad week with loss of precious furbabies. :( Believe it or not, it's too hot to drink up here. That's right, no alcohol for me please. Never thought you would hear me say that, did you?? :p It was 84F as I was driving to work this morning.

That water in the kiddy pool is a week old and ewwww, look at the dead bugs and leaves in there. The water needs to be dumped and fresh water put in.....I'll do that after I cool down.

For now I'm putting my feet up. Richard, a huge frosty glass of ice water please. Thanks you barkeep. :)

I have been so darn busy that I haven't even had time to duck in the bar for a badly needed break!

Thought I would slip in for a nightcap - but didn't know that I would "literally"
slip in - what is all of this water doing on the floor?

Long, long day, so I think I will just opt for some ice water too and call it a night.

Now that I have a few minutes, how about setting me up with an Irish and get a moozle for Lady?

No, just fixing plumbing put in by someone who should have his license to own hand tools revoked. When it takes 30' of copper pipe, 20' of PVC and 100 lbs of concrete to fix a sink there's a problem.

I shall count my blessings.......but I went over to mom's house and see that the fridge has given up the ghost.

Lady's Human

Consider it done!

(the damned shame of it is that I needed 110 lbs of concrete, but I'll have to fix that tomorrow. That's what I get for ONLY getting 100 lbs)

RICHARD
07-13-2007, 11:53 PM
Thank you sir,

MY plumbing drama was at four in the morning....I hear water running next door at mom's.....It sounds like the toilet.....I go into her house and look under the BR sink and hear the water running. I touch the shutoff and am greeted with a three foot jet of water....

All in all it turned out alright, I was able to fix it, not bleed and not have any extra parts...

I'd like to propose a toast to This Old House reruns, the right tool at the right time and only two trips to Home Depot.

Salud!

This was a repair to a sink that was a long time in the making. I disconnected the HW line because it was leaking, and I couldn't get a good solder joint on the "pipe" in the basement.

Then I had to disconnect the drain line.

Now I'm fixing 30 years of half assed plumbing repairs.

That means you have to move in November of 2037. ;)

Ten pounds of concrete on a Saturday isn't that bad.

The family will be excited at the unveiling, you get the credit and the satisfaction of doing it right.

LOL,

My brother says it's not a job until you bleed.

Lady's Human
07-14-2007, 12:13 AM
Our line about that is that if you bleed on it, it's going to work.

Especially if it's a Ford.

Come on you two. Put down your "tools" :D and give me a drink. One double BM please. :D :D

Lady's Human

Double BM? Done!

PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride) is a type of pipe, normally used for waste lines.

Mr LH repaired a sink's plumbing with copper and poly vinyl chloride pipes.
But first he had to remove concrete to replace the pipes.

An F-150 is a Ford Truck and anytime you can keep a plumber out of your house you are the MAN!

We were almost done scratching and high fiving.....

One DBM?

DONE!

Another Irish for "The Man" and a straight shotta Ta-kill-ya as a night cap for me!

DONE!

normally used for waste lines. You mean if I wrap myself in pvc, I'll reduce my waist line????? I'm all for it. Come to Mama, baby!!!! :D :D

May I please have a dribble of GM???? That will settle me off to sleep.

Nighty night.

Waste lines? Waist lines? Two things I don't think I want to think about so early in the morning.

Let's see PVC? What kind of drink is that? A Plumbers Vodka Cooler I bet - I'd like one of those.

I may as well start early - it is going to be a long and hopefully great day.

That's so sad. I had to send my beloved Pippin to the RB before I went on vacation. We were all very sad in the LH-LOH house.
