I found this program that I thought I would share. I haven't used it but I have seen someone who did and it has almost (if not all) the same features as Photoshop...

So, I just thought I would share. :)

Paint.net (http://www.getpaint.net/index2.html)

Some good stuff there, usually the first place I look for free Macware. :)

Another really good one is GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/). A lot of people on a gaming forum I go to use it for signatures - and they say it's as good as photoshop. :)

Hubby used GIMP with his mac too and he loved it but it is quite complicated. Once you get the hang of it though it is a great program according to my husband.

Sorry to bump this up, but I wanted to show off two things I made using Paint.NET. By the way, thanks Bri for the link! I love this program, though it is a bit complicated. I just need ALOT more practice. Anyway, you can make animated GIF'S with it, and I gave it a try. The results:

Some little stick dude doing a handstand:

A forming breast cancer ribbon, this one kinda sucks as I did it really fast :o :

I'm on OSX 10.4.10

It WAS dual platform, it's a core intel duo macbook (black). I got really frustrated with the beta version of Vista when I got it last August (I bought it from a hacker, lol), so I wiped the hard drive, undid the split, and now it's all Mac. I'm so not a PC person, and it starting from Bootcamp and dealing with all that crap just annoyed me. I wanted this laptop because the guy has it maxed out with memory and the hard drive.

I use this for work too because the laptop they have me work on at school is a piece of junk (also a Mac, but is bare bones). I have to do the webmaster stuff at school too, but the authoring software they have us using we haven't been trained on, and we're unable to edit html. It's called Contribute, and it basically worthless unless you're just doing basics. The guy who is in charge of technology for our district is a joke. He came over to show me how to edit something and deleted one of my rollover menus, and still hasn't been able to get it back! He's a piece of work.
