Hydrengea flowers are my most favorite flower, so I was thrilled to get some from my neighbor's bush the other day. I decided to play with macro and rather liked the outcome.

Love this shot... but Oops, a hair in the middle of the flower :o. Anyone willing to help photoshop the original large image to erase the hair for me?

Here I did some digital color manipulation... can you tell?

and these two were taken using the color select option, where it only photgraphs one color and the other colors are all shown as black and white

Pink

Blue (my favorite of all the shots)

I hope you enjoyed! :)

Gorgeous! Love the shots.
I don't think my Photoshop skills are quite up the task though.

Those are SOOO pretty! I have 2 of those in my yard but sadly, we're moving in a month or so and I'll have to leave them behind :(

Do you know if these can be dug up and transported? If so, I'd love to take them with me when I go.

Koxka, brief change of subject, I just wanted to tell you that I LOOOOOOOVE your siggy!

BEAUTIFUL!!

Did you know you can get either pink or blue from the same plant? It just depends on which type of fertilizer you use. I think it is the acid content, not sure. You can have blue one year and pink the next!

AND, if they are far enough apart, you can have the two plants blooming in different colors.

Great pictures of beautiful a flower. I love them, too. You should be here in the coffee garden of my parents' restaurant these days, there are huge bushes of hydrangea, in many different colors, and according to the records, they are about 70 years old. You would love them! I can post some photos of them if you like. :)

Leslie, right before you move, I would cut them back to a manageable size and pot them up and bring them along. They are wonderful plants and very hearty, too. My mom brought me six new ones this year, ones that she had started from existing plants (don't ask me how, lol). Thank goodness my mom was proactive when we bought this house and she dug up many of my plants at my old home and planted them at my new house. I was so weary of all the other moving activity, work and wedding plans that I was just to tired to even think about it.
