Horse/Zebra in Germany......

I saw on the newspaper a few days ago that in Germany there was this horse/zebra cross...... it had a nice pic I wanted to share but the newspaper has gone to the trash....:(.....

its like a piebald horse only that on the "spotted" parts you can see the zebra pattern.........the rest is normally piebald white........very cool creature

I´m trying to find one pic on the net as you read........if you find one faster than me please post.....

I think the horse/zebra is from a zoo.....

ETA: nevermind, I found it his name is Eclypse......... how cool is he??

Very beautiful looking animal but kinda confused as to what the purpose of the benefits to either species would be to cross them. :confused:

I saw a report on the local news about this. Looked pretty weird in the
film chip. Was it bred on purpose or what? Anyone know?

what I read was thet the zebra was on "vacation" on some ranch and got pregg by a horse......... or the other way around....... I´ll have to read the link I posted :p

anyway.... not planned.........although I´ve read on other sites that say they do plan crossing zebras with horses to make their back more strong for human riding abilities :confused: ......... just like with mules

I´ve seen a few zebra horse crosses but mainly they are a brown horse with stripes......
