Having despaired at my daughter's "Mum, they are only dogs" remark not so long ago I was thrilled when she rang me last night to say she had spotted a stray dog and asked me what to do.............and then sent me a text to say she'd rescued a defenceless baby bird from a cat later in the evening :D

The little dog seemed to know its way home by the way
