[Crazy-Cat-Lover]

I took Buddy over to visit my sisters dog, Chester, on Saturday. They have known each other for over a year, and have always gotten along (other than a few disagreements). We have had Buddy for almost a month, and he is finally adjusted to his new home. For the last couple of weeks, I was having regrets about adding him to the family, as I felt like he was a "replacement" for Bailey. I talked to DH about it and I think about all the memories I have of Bailey and Buddy together - they were the best of friends. For a short while, I was having trouble bonding with Buddy. I am finally starting to bond with him and I tell myself Buddy is here for a reason. For me to give him the love I can no longer give Bailey, to teach him how to be a good dog and provide him with a loving home. He truly is an amazing little guy, he has brightened my life ten fold. Anyway, my sister took some beautiful pictures of Buddy for me (thanks Chantelle!) - and I thought I would share them with you!

He sure is a cutie!

I wouldn't worry about not bonding with him just yet. Sometimes it takes a while. I really didn't bond with Bella until she was with me for more of a year. Give yourself a break--it'll come with time.

He looks so happy, what a cutie! I'm with everybody else, maybe bonding can take longer than a month. I'm especially with mruffruff, please give him a tummy rub for me too!
