Oh, I'm so sad to read that Liz Claiborne died Tuesday at age 78 from cancer. I LOVE her clothing. I first started buying her clothes back in the 70's, and have been a fan ever since. Her clothes always fit comfortably & looked good on "real" bodies, not just on fashion model figures. They may have been a little higher than some other brands, but the materials & workmanship were always good. Plus, when you shop end of the season sales, you can always find some good buys on better clothing!
(I still recall the first Claiborn shirt I bought - a knit top that was a vivid rich yellow on one half, & black on the other. :) )
