This one I just wrote. Sometimes they just pop in my head.

As I visit the pages of the dearly departed
I can't help but think of the broken hearted
Ones left behind to deal with their loss
Knowing they'd take their pets back at all costs
Hurting souls, some that won't heal
Maybe they will but only time will tell
Memories of happier times filling their heads
While they're tucked away, sleeping in bed
Kind words from friends help to ease the pain
But they know they'll never be the same again
So treasure that furry one that you hold dear
Their time to leave this world could be drawing near
When it's time for them to go
They'll know that you loved them so

And I wrote this one for Mother's day

Dearest mom, you mean the world to me
So I thought I'd show you with daisies.
I hope they give you some happiness on your day
Make the sadness go away, if only for a minute or two
The flowers,card and dinner, all here
But there's someone missing that's very dear
To your heart because of your loss
I know you'd get back with any cost.
He's never really far away,
In your heart he'll always stay
But try to smile through the pain
Knowing you'll see each other again.

I didn't see a need to make a new thread. I just wrote this one.

Just below the surface
The tears are always there
Just the mention of your name can
Make them reappear
Even after all this time,
My heartache feels so new
I always said I'd be lost without you
And now I find it's true
I look for you in rainbows
And even in my dreams
We'll be apart forever, it seems
You were my soulmate
And it hurts like hell
Will I get over losing you?
Only time will tell

Ok, thanks Val. :p I am here at work and got all teary eyed over the first and last ones.
They are beautiful. They just make me think.....Zoee will have to leave me one day. I don't want her to!!! She is my first dog, really. I've grown up with dogs all my life, but Zoee is MINE.
