Well we will probally be gettting this boy later this month. I keep on going back and fourth on what to name him. I have came up with some names, and shortin them when were doing agility. So please vote for what you like for him, we can always use other name sugestions.

from the ones you posted I like "gun" and gun for short hehe......
I like blue but itīs too common for a blue merle......although I love it

I like Dakota better than Lakota

and I wouldnīt use Turner as it may get confusing with the "turn" command.... IMO.....

That's why you would use a different command.

I chose Gunner simply because I like the name - and I think it would go with him.

I like Turner. :)

I would never name a dog Gunner (Gun for short). I hate guns, and there is nothing at all about the name that makes me go "WOW".

I quite like Gunner and have never met a dog with that name before. I also think perhaps the name Raffles would suit him. :)

Dakota seems to suit him. Rugged, but refined at the same time. Everytime I hear Lakota I think of those advertisements for Lakota joint pain reliever...

Thanks everyone! I am pretty sure it will be either Dakotah, which my mom loves. Or Lakota which I love, it means brave. Now if my mom calls him Dakotah and I call him Lakota will he get confused?

I don't think he'll get real confused. Both names sound VERY much the same. Dogs listen to key sounds not so much the letters used in the name. Sometimes we call Beanie by his other name "Meanie" He responds to both.
