Well,

With the camps just around the corner there is too much bad news coming over the wires.

Another Bengal player arrested.
One player arrested for not leaving a bar after closing.
Motorcycle crash, Jet Ski accident.
Dog fighting scandal and the Pacman charged with another two felonies?

Kinda makes the old Raiders look like a bunch of wussies....
---------------

I am ready..GO FOOTBALL! :)

Oh my gosh I can't believe it is time to be talking football already!! Time to start scouting my fantasy teams!! As much as I am a Bengals fan, i may have to stay away from the felons...

Tiger stripes to prison stripes...not a huge stretch I suppose!

Oh man,

The Philly Eagles punter took a hit last night-

This guy was an Aussie Rules Football player before....I don't think that they
took hits quite like that....

But, the Baltimore player led with his helmet...that was a BS, cheap shot.
-------

I am hopin' that the Raiders win all their pre season games.....that guarantees them a losing season....That way I can relax and root for another team. :D

Lady's Human
08-14-2007, 08:37 PM
Maybe instead of the all-madden team the NFL should start the All-Convict team?

Linebacker, running back- Baltimore ravens

Cornerback- Adam Bernard Jones

O-Line- Tank Johnson

Probable starting QB- Mikey Vick, backup Marcus Vick

The Cincinnati Bungles...........

Jets defense?

Nope, not out here!

-----------------------

Oh man,

Why are some of the worst announcers in football the retired players?

Between Keith Olbermanm Tony Siragusa, Tiki Barber, I cannot stand NBC's
pregame show.

Memo to Tiki "I'm named after Hawaiian god" Barber.

Dude,

You wussed out of the league and blamed it on your wife.
Then you took pot shots at your team and blamed the coach. You
announced your wussing out of the league before the season ended...

Keep shaving your head and stuff a sock in it. You are so last week's news.

Prayers to Everett from Buffalo......

Randy Moss, you are showing what a jerk you are......shut up!

yeah I am bummed that player from the bills got hurt. He had surgery for a severe neck injury and apparently he hasn't regained consciousness yet.....I hope he survives.

ratdogg
09-10-2007, 10:10 AM
EDIT:
well good news is he finally came to. i think he was unconscious from the hit all the way until surgery. They are highly concerned that the broken neck will make him a paraplegic. but he had a moment of "sparse movement" so that is the best good news currently. he wont ever play again. Hopefully he can have a decent quality of life for a couple decades.

Thoughts and prayers for Kevin Everett. I hope he can make the kind of recovery Dennis Byrd did (Jets DT, injured and told he would never walk again in 1992, Who has regained fullmobility and now coaches football).

How bout that Bengals D!! What a great game!!!

Easy win for the Hawks! One down...:D

Prayers for the injured Bills player. That stinks having something like that happen on the opening day :(

09-11-2007, 11:08 PM
I remember when Dennis Byrd broke his neck (a jet! [but i'm a 9ers fan]) while trying to sack the QB. I think he hit his own player and it just snapped. good news seems to be comming Everett's way. It's early but now they are saying he may walk again.

The Jets Defense has been found.....

"Tape" at 11 o'clock?

-----------

Poor Roger Goodell...

One announcer said that the new commish was like those home flip guys-you know, they buy houses, fix them up and sell them for a profit...

RG moves into the NFL job and says, "Hmmm, a coat of paint and no problem!"

Then he peels back the drywall and sees how bad the foundation is!

Looks like the NE Patriot's might be in trouble. Oh oh.

I was so mad on Sunday. I was staying in a cabin up North and the satalite cut off at 1/2 time during the Pat's game and never came back! I was soooo mad!

My thoughts & prayers go out to Kevin Everett. I hope he'll be okay. I heard he may be able to walk out of the hospital.

RICHARD
09-12-2007, 03:46 PM
The news conference is on about Everett's injury.

I love medicine.....A few years ago the docs would have tossed him into a bed and waited.

The tech and new procedures are interesting and promising!

Wow, Incredible!

Hey, I just found out that Kevin Everett was medically stable enough to go to a rehab hospital in Texas over the weekend. They said his excellent physical condition as an athlete will be an asset to his recovery. I hope he will do very well and beyond all expectations.

How about our Bears last night? Way to lose at home on national TV, Bears.

The Bengals have problems.....

Ocho Cinco is not amusing or entertaining.

PETA has stepped in to protect the pigeons at Paul Brown Stadium-
Apparently they crap all over the fans during the games while roosting in the rafters.....They wanted to shoot them with pellet guns...

Hawks are looking somewhat good...although I find it funny that AZs two wins are against the Hawks and the Steelers...karma maybe? A sign?

Indy being 4-0 is making me jittery. Could they go undefeated this year?

The two college games that really rocked were the Boise State and LSU games!

No. The game is only carried on the NFL Channel. A lot of cable companies don't carry this. Best bets: bribe someone with DirecTV (shameless plug!) or go to a sports bar.

A sackful of pre-owned kitty litter to the stupid suits in the NFL and cable companies who can't resolve this, so folks can watch the games.

Bring it on Green Bay!

22 points in the fourth quarter...one punt return for a TD!

Hassleback looked kind of bad...but the defense stepped up.

And lets not forget the 12 man

Lets make a repeat of 05...minus the losing the super bowl
GO HAWKS!!

It looked so bad for a bit in the fourth quarter but we pulled through!

The west coast lives on!

I loved the T.O. reaction to the loss. There's no crying in football.
Friggin chump ragged on Jessica Simpson before, and now??

The Cowboys played a great game but I cannot, in good NFL faith, root for anything T.O.

Three more games and then there is a slight lull for figureskating....

---------------

One thing about playoff vs. reg season stats.....

Who cares.

"That's the shortests interception that's turned into the longest game winning field goal, in sudden death overtime, during a Sunday evening NFC championship game held in the midwest during weather that's less than 10, but more than o degrees farenheit-by a kicker who has missed two previous attempts in a game."

Makes my head spin....

DJFyrewolf36
01-22-2008, 12:56 AM
Funny the things one can acomplish when ones job is on the line ;) lol.

I have a feeling after those two misses, the NY coach was having a small chat with the kicker. Kicking a frozen brick 47 yards is quite the acomplishment! Also going from a flub up to kicking the game winner isn't bad either :D

lizbud
02-04-2008, 12:41 PM

RICHARD
02-07-2008, 01:10 AM
A few things about the SB that no one thought about.

Belichik wasn't paying attention to the offense during the first half-he was talking to the defense. WHY? Did he really believe that the top rated offense didn't need his watchful eye?

The fourth and going for it, in stead of kicking a field goal. Another problem with not paying attention to having a well rounded game.
"I have the top rated offense in the league-we don't need no stinking field goal kicker!"

When I heard BB left the offense on the field I knew he was doomed.

----------

and finally.....

TIKI BARBER...

I hope the parade went by the window of the studio, you loser.

Eli may not have 'leadership qualities' but we all know who the fly in the soup was. :D
